PROGRAMMES
DAILY SOUP KITCHEN
We have a daily soup kitchen that provides meals to over 300 kids from our community ,for five days
a in a week we continue to ensure that no child in our community goes to bed on an empty
stomach, we currently have a dedicated team of 8 volunteers from our community that come in daily
to cook and serve meals to our children, we are greatly grateful to angel network, credit guarantee
insurance and soul food Africa for supporting our soup kitchen and ensuring we food to cook
everyday
WHEELCHAIR ASSISTANCE
We as kasi hero foundation understand how many people with physical disabilities still struggle to
get access to wheelchairs because they are quite expensive and hard to get more especially for
individuals living in the most rural areas in south Africa, hence to date we have donated almost 70
plus wheelchairs in townships and rural areas, we donate normal and specialized wheelchairs all
thanks to companies such as CE mobility, credit guarantee and individuals such as your biphakathi and
more
School uniform support
This is a initiative that we have been working hand in hand with old mutual insure for the past two
years ,whereby every January we donate 700 pairs of school shoes to schools in Soweto and Limpopo
Giyani and venda ,currently we have donated more than 3000 school shoes to over 30 schools
After school program
This is our learner support program to assist our soup kitchen kids with their academics from
math’s lessons to assisting them with their homework’s so we can improve their school results and
help them regain confidence In their school work
Mandela day initiative
This is our yearly initiative that we have hosted it for the past 3 years where in each and every
Mandela day we donate FOOD PARCELS and blankets to over 100 pensioners in our community and
neighboring communities
Aerobics for pensioners
This is a program designed to keep our local pensioners fit and healthy and to decrease their stress
level and form a community and give them a space where they can fully express themselves have
fun and at the same time lower their high blood pressure through the daily aerobic sessions
Sanitary pads and hygiene packs
We fully understand that most teenagers still struggle to afford such essentials and have taken upon
ourself to ensure that no child misses a day in a classroom because of lack of sanitary pads therefore
to date we have donated more than 2000 sanitary pads in Soweto and limpopo
